Geminid shooting star over Newgrange

Geminid shooting star over Newgrange

With the clouds coming & going all day, we made a last minute, late night decision. So we headed off to try to "catch a falling star". Here's one of the 2013 Gemenids that I caught last night in front of the ancient tombs at Newgrange.

The bright star on top of the picture is actually the planet Jupiter, which when standing looking at the burial site is way behind my head. That's what you get with an 8mm lens.
